Harbinger Motors Inc.
Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, HV Test
About this role
Harbinger seeks an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to lead the design and deployment of high-voltage battery test systems for their EV manufacturing lines. You'll own end-to-end testing strategy, automation architecture, and safety protocols while scaling processes from prototype to high-volume production.
What you'll do
- Design, specify, and commission HV test equipment including End-of-Line testers, HiPot stations, and charge/discharge cyclers for battery pack manufacturing
- Develop test automation scripts and integration with Manufacturing Execution Systems for data collection and traceability
- Collaborate with Battery Hardware and Firmware teams during product design to optimize for manufacturability and scalable testing
- Establish and enforce HV safety protocols (NFPA 70E compliance), physical interlocks, LOTO procedures, and PPE standards
- Lead root-cause analysis on test failures and non-conforming battery packs, serving as escalation point for complex issues
- Drive continuous improvement to reduce test cycle times, increase OEE, and scale processes from prototype to volume production
What they're looking for
- High-voltage battery testing (400V–800V+ systems)
- Industrial test equipment configuration (Chroma, National Instruments, Keysight, Bitrode)
- Test automation and scripting
- Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) integration
- Design for Test (DFT) principles
- NFPA 70E high-voltage safety compliance
- Root-cause analysis and failure investigation
- Vendor evaluation and management
