About this role

Field AI seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead real-world deployment and integration of autonomous robotic systems for federal and commercial programs. You'll own the full lifecycle from field testing through customer enablement, serving as a bridge between customers and engineering teams to drive system reliability and adoption.

What you'll do

  • Lead end-to-end deployment of autonomous systems in customer environments and ensure operational readiness
  • Troubleshoot technical issues across software, hardware, and networking to maintain system uptime
  • Gather field feedback and collaborate with engineering teams to identify and implement improvements
  • Train customer operators and translate complex technical concepts into actionable workflows
  • Serve as customer advocate, bringing field insights back to product and engineering teams
  • Develop and document deployment practices and playbooks for scalable rollouts
