About this role
Divergent seeks an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to lead process development and continuous improvement across machining, assembly, and inspection operations. This hands-on role bridges design and production teams, driving scalability and automation for aerospace and defense programs using advanced manufacturing technologies.
What you'll do
- Own daily production execution and troubleshoot shop floor issues to maintain throughput and quality
- Develop and implement machining, assembly, anodize, and inspection processes using CNC programming and GD&T principles
- Act as technical bridge between design engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturability
- Lead process improvements through data analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective action implementation
- Develop innovative fixturing and automation strategies for complex additive manufactured geometries
- Create standardized documentation and programming conventions to improve consistency and reduce cycle time
