Electrical Field Engineer - Data Center
About this role
Crusoe seeks an Electrical Field Engineer to oversee the construction and commissioning of large-scale power distribution systems for AI data center campuses. This remote role requires 50%+ travel to assigned sites to bridge design teams and construction partners, ensuring safe and efficient installation of critical electrical infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of medium/low voltage switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, and backup generators
- Monitor deployment of advanced power backup and battery energy storage systems
- Track construction progress against project milestones and engineering specifications
- Support rapid resolution of RFIs and Field Engineering Directives between contractors and design teams
- Lead all commissioning activities (levels 1-5) and review documents for technical accuracy
- Serve as electrical safety champion and troubleshoot complex field installation issues
