About this role

Join a startup building ConstellationOS, an autonomous operating system for satellite networks that processes 100,000+ telemetry messages per second and makes real-time routing decisions. You'll design and build distributed systems where latency, correctness, and reliability directly impact physical network performance.

What you'll do

  • Design and maintain a deterministic world model that ingests massive telemetry streams and enables network simulation and reasoning
  • Build high-throughput, event-driven distributed systems targeting 100k+ messages/sec with strict latency and ordering guarantees
  • Develop low-latency components in C++/Rust, optimizing concurrency, memory efficiency, and sub-second end-to-end reaction times
  • Implement autonomous decision pipelines that transform predictions into actionable routing and scheduling choices under real-world constraints
  • Deploy and operate systems in AWS with comprehensive observability for latency, throughput, and decision quality
  • Work directly with customers in operational environments to debug live systems and iterate rapidly

What they're looking for

  • Distributed systems architecture and design
  • C++ and/or Rust proficiency
  • Networking fundamentals and protocols
  • Real-time systems and low-latency optimization
  • Concurrency models and memory management
  • AWS infrastructure and deployment
  • Event-driven systems design
  • Systems-level performance profiling
