About this role
Cloud Chamber is seeking a Gameplay Engineer to develop core gameplay systems for the upcoming BioShock title. You'll collaborate with design, art, and engineering teams to implement player-centric features using Unreal Engine 5, bridging creative vision with technical execution.
What you'll do
- Architect and implement gameplay systems for player mechanics, camera, weapons, and character controls
- Collaborate with design and art teams to translate creative concepts into functional gameplay
- Adapt existing Unreal Engine 5 systems and develop new technology to meet project requirements
- Identify and solve technical risks and developmental obstacles
- Partner with animation and audio teams to integrate gameplay features
- Stay current with industry technological advancements and best practices
