About this role
CGS seeks an experienced PostgreSQL Database Developer in Charlotte, NC to lead the migration from Oracle to Azure PostgreSQL and manage database environments for a federal Data Analytics platform. You'll ensure system scalability, performance, and availability while collaborating across teams to implement data solutions.
What you'll do
- Drive Oracle to Azure PostgreSQL database migration efforts
- Monitor and maintain database performance, availability, and security with minimal downtime
- Create and maintain technical documentation and propose effective database solutions
- Perform performance tuning and assist developers with optimization
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery processes
- Conduct database patching, upgrades, and maintenance rollouts
