About this role
CGS seeks an experienced PostgreSQL Database Developer to lead the migration from Oracle to Azure Postgres while managing database environments for a federal data analytics platform. You'll ensure system scalability, performance, and reliability while collaborating across technical and business teams.
What you'll do
- Lead Oracle to Microsoft Azure PostgreSQL database migration efforts
- Monitor database performance and availability, ensuring high resilience and minimal downtime
- Create and maintain technical documentation and business data specifications
- Perform performance tuning and assist developers with optimization
- Manage database maintenance including patching, upgrades, and rollouts
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery processes
