About this role

CGS seeks an experienced Network Engineer in Dallas, TX to evaluate, design, and maintain large-scale wired and wireless network infrastructure for a government project. You'll work with stakeholders and vendors to implement solutions, conduct security assessments, and provide technical guidance while managing day-to-day network operations.

What you'll do

  • Evaluate, design, and implement wired and wireless network infrastructure solutions
  • Manage NPS network infrastructure, monitor health, and troubleshoot issues
  • Administer Cloudpath onboarding and maintain wireless network security patches/updates
  • Conduct testing procedures, vulnerability assessments, and quality assurance for new projects
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including network diagrams and JIRA tickets
  • Provide design recommendations and knowledge transfer to internal teams

  • Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing (VLAN, OSPF, VRRP)
  • Network security (802.1x, MAC Authentication, RADIUS, ACLs)
  • RF site survey tools (Ekahau, RF Scanners, Wireshark)
  • Wireless network administration and troubleshooting
  • CWNA and BCNE certifications
  • Linux, MS Server 2013, VMware administration
  • Penetration testing and vulnerability assessment
  • Technical documentation and communication skills
