About this role
CGS seeks an experienced Network Engineer in Miami, FL to evaluate, design, and implement large-scale network infrastructure for a government project. The role involves managing wired and wireless networks, conducting security assessments, and collaborating with government personnel and vendors to optimize network operations.
What you'll do
- Operate and manage network infrastructure with monitoring and reporting capabilities
- Design and implement network solutions encompassing wireless, wired, and software requirements
- Administer wireless onboarding processes and troubleshoot network health issues
- Conduct testing procedures, vulnerability assessments, and quality assurance for new infrastructure
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and architecture recommendations
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to stakeholders on network best practices

- CWNA and BCNE certifications
- RF site survey tools (Ekahau, RF Scanners, Wireshark)
- Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing protocols (VLANs, OSPF, VRRP)
- Network security (802.1x, MAC Authentication, ACLs, RADIUS)
- Linux, Windows Server 2013, VMware administration
- Penetration testing and vulnerability assessment
- Disaster recovery planning and implementation
