Desktop/Workstation Design Engineer
About this role
CGS seeks an experienced Desktop/Workstation Design Engineer to lead architecture and design planning for enterprise desktop integration initiatives. You'll serve as the subject matter expert for OS image development, large-scale software deployment, and security implementation across diverse endpoints in a government contracting environment.
What you'll do
- Act as SME for Desktop OS image development and enterprise-wide implementation
- Engineer and manage large-scale software deployments using MECM and MDT technologies
- Develop, test, and deploy software distribution packages and application updates across desktops, laptops, tablets, and servers
- Design and implement automated server build processes and OS patching infrastructure
- Perform security assessments, vulnerability reviews, patch management, and compliance auditing
- Evaluate and recommend hardware solutions; provide technical guidance on software requirements
