About this role

CGS is hiring an experienced Desktop/Workstation Design Engineer in Boston to lead OS image development, enterprise software deployment, and system architecture planning. You'll serve as a subject matter expert in deploying Windows environments at scale using tools like MECM and MDT, while supporting security and patch management initiatives.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement Desktop OS images and large-scale software deployments using MECM and MDT
  • Develop and test software distribution packages for desktops, laptops, tablets, and servers
  • Provide hardware analysis and recommendations for enterprise endpoints
  • Manage OS patching infrastructure and security compliance tasks including vulnerability assessments
  • Architect server deployment methodologies with automated build processes
  • Participate in technology roadmap planning and architecture discussions

  • PowerShell and VB scripting
  • Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)

  • VPN/remote access technologies (Cisco Secure Access preferred)
  • VDI/Citrix or VMWare (preferred)
