About this role
CGS is hiring a mid-level Data Engineer in Chicago to design and maintain data pipelines supporting federal government analytics and business intelligence solutions. You'll work in an Agile environment building ETL processes, managing complex datasets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to transform data into actionable insights.
What you'll do
- Design and develop end-to-end data pipelines for ingestion, storage, and provisioning to data consumers
- Write and optimize code for reliable data extraction, processing, and performance
- Create and maintain ETL processes with testing and validation procedures
- Support continuous process automation for data integration from multiple sources
- Collaborate with program management and engineers to implement complex requirements
- Advocate for technical excellence through lean-agile principles, CI/CD, and version control practices
