CommVault Systems Engineer
About this role
CGS is hiring an experienced CommVault Systems Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions for a large federal government organization. The role involves managing complex multi-platform backup infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, implementing security updates, and collaborating with operations teams to ensure reliable data protection across geographically dispersed environments.
What you'll do
- Design, configure, and implement enterprise-scale backup and recovery solutions using CommVault across complex WAN environments
- Create and maintain backup strategies including primary/auxiliary copies and VM-based backups with redundancy planning
- Troubleshoot complex backup and recovery issues spanning networking, applications, servers, hardware, and appliances
- Perform capacity planning, analytics, and reporting within CommVault management and monitoring systems
- Implement security updates and patches in compliance with Federal Information Systems requirements and DISA STIGs
- Work with operations teams to develop processes and tools for timely backup, restore, and data replication requests
