About this role
CesiumAstro seeks a Mechanical Engineer II to design and develop mechanical systems for satellite and aerospace products throughout the entire development lifecycle. You'll work in a dynamic startup environment handling electronics packaging, thermal management, simulations, and qualification testing for cutting-edge space hardware.
What you'll do
- Design mechanical systems for satellite and spacecraft products from concept through in-orbit support
- Perform thermal, structural, and environmental simulations and analyses
- Create detailed CAD models and engineering documentation
- Manage electronics packaging design and spacecraft mechanical interfaces
- Present engineering design reviews to customers and leadership
- Support manufacturing, testing, and qualification of mechanical assemblies
