About this role
CesiumAstro seeks an experienced Embedded Software Engineer II to develop communication systems for satellites and aerospace platforms. You'll work across the full software lifecycle using embedded Linux and Yocto, collaborating with hardware and FPGA teams in a dynamic space technology environment.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain embedded Linux software using Yocto build system
- Design and implement device drivers, kernel customization, and bootloaders
- Perform board bring-up and hardware integration
- Participate in architecture design and system-level development
- Collaborate with hardware, systems, and FPGA engineers
- Support testing, qualification, and in-orbit product support
