About this role

Cape seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with federal customers and ensure privacy-focused mobile network products work effectively in real-world environments. You'll bridge customer needs and engineering, deploy solutions, prototype integrations, and drive product roadmap priorities based on field intelligence.

What you'll do

  • Own end-to-end technical delivery of Cape's products into federal customer environments from prototype through operational acceptance
  • Embed with customer teams to understand workflows, threat models, and operational constraints
  • Configure, integrate, and tune mobile core capabilities for specific mission profiles
  • Write production-grade code for integrations, tooling, and capabilities that unblock deployments
  • Translate customer mission requirements into engineering priorities and communicate technical constraints back to stakeholders
  • Provide technical support during live operations, conduct root-cause analyses, and feed insights back into platform development
