About this role

CAI seeks a detail-oriented Commissioning Engineer to oversee the installation, testing, and startup of MEP and control systems on complex capital construction projects in Boston. You'll develop commissioning plans, conduct functional performance testing, troubleshoot issues, and ensure all systems meet design specifications and regulatory compliance.

What you'll do

  • Oversee commissioning of MEP and control systems from installation through startup and testing
  • Develop commissioning plans with testing schedules, procedures, and documentation requirements
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and troubleshooting to verify systems meet design specifications
  • Perform functional performance tests and create Pre-Functional Checklists and test protocols
  • Coordinate field activities with technicians and trade partners during construction phases
  • Prepare test reports, commissioning documentation, and project handover packages
