About this role
BusPatrol is hiring an IT Ops Automation Engineer to design and deploy production automations across Azure, Power Platform, and enterprise systems, replacing manual IT operations work with reliable, serverless workflows and integrations.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and deploy secure automations using TypeScript/Node.js, PowerShell, and Python across Azure and Power Platform
- Develop and maintain Azure Function Apps, Automation Accounts, Logic Apps, and event-driven workflows for IT service delivery
- Build integrations across Freshservice, Jira, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and other business systems
- Analyze operational data to identify high-value automation opportunities and prioritize candidates
- Monitor automation health through dashboards, telemetry, and alerting; continuously improve reliability
- Partner with Service Desk and IT Operations teams to refine processes and mentor on automation best practices

- Playwright automation with SSO/Entra login flows
- PowerShell and Python scripting
- Azure services administration (Key Vault, Service Bus, Storage, Logic Apps)

- CI/CD, source control, and testing practices
- Monitoring, logging, and telemetry
- Service desk platform knowledge (Freshservice, Jira)
