Software Engineer, Test (SDET)
About this role
BRINC is seeking an experienced SDET to build and maintain comprehensive automated testing frameworks for LiveOps, a cloud platform that powers drone-based 911 response systems. You'll partner with multiple engineering teams to ensure mission-critical features like live video streaming, teleoperation, and fleet management are reliable and secure for first responders.
What you'll do
- Design and build automated test frameworks covering APIs, integrations, and end-to-end scenarios for the LiveOps web platform
- Own testing for core features including video streaming, teleoperation, fleet management, and third-party integrations
- Validate security controls, IAM systems, and multi-tenant authentication to support SOC 2 compliance
- Test machine learning and computer vision model outputs including object detection and classification accuracy
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and establish performance and load testing for real-time services
- Perform root cause analysis on failures, track defects, and produce quality metrics and release-readiness reports
