About this role

Brain Co. seeks a Sales Engineer to lead technical strategy for winning US government contracts. You'll partner with GTM teams to translate complex agency mission problems into tailored AI solutions, manage the full deal cycle from discovery through pilot launch, and serve as the credible technical voice with federal buyers.

What you'll do

  • Travel to government agencies across the US to conduct discovery, map workflows, and design solution architectures
  • Build and deliver customized demos, proofs of concept, and technical proposals for federal, state, and local agencies
  • Own solution narratives through deal cycles including security/compliance, FedRAMP requirements, and integration scoping
  • Support capture and proposal efforts with technical documentation, RFI/RFP responses, and architecture designs
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure solutions are delivered and pilots convert to production deployments
  • Develop government sales engineering playbooks, demo environments, and repeatable POC frameworks

What they're looking for

  • Sales engineering or solutions architecture (5+ years)
  • US public sector sales experience with government procurement knowledge
  • FedRAMP, ATO, and compliance frameworks (IL levels, data governance)
  • AI/ML systems, APIs, data integration, and government cloud platforms
  • Demo building and prototype development
  • Technical communication for executives and engineers
  • End-to-end problem ownership
  • Extensive US travel capability (~50%)
