About this role

Proto seeks a Product & Test Engineer to lead post-silicon productization of bitcoin mining ASICs, managing silicon bring-up through mass production. This cross-functional role involves silicon characterization, test strategy development, yield optimization, and system-level performance tuning for advanced-node chips.

What you'll do

  • Drive post-silicon bring-up, characterization, and productization from first silicon through high-volume manufacturing
  • Develop and optimize wafer sort and final test screening strategies to improve yield, power, performance, and quality metrics
  • Create and maintain ATE test programs and debug screening methodologies for advanced-node ASICs
  • Execute characterization plans across process, voltage, and temperature conditions with DOE planning and analysis
  • Analyze silicon data across multiple platforms to improve correlation and identify trends, failures, and root causes
  • Collaborate with foundry, OSAT, and internal teams on ASIC binning, system optimization, and manufacturing execution

What they're looking for

  • Post-silicon validation and silicon bring-up
  • ATE platform experience (Advantest 93K, Chroma)
  • Statistical data analysis (JMP, Python)
  • Wafer sort and final test methodology development
  • DOE planning and yield optimization
  • Design of Experiments and silicon correlation
  • Cross-functional collaboration across design, systems, and manufacturing
  • Problem-solving and independent technical ownership
