Bedrock Robotics
Frontend Engineer
About this role
Bedrock is seeking a senior frontend engineer to design and build sophisticated interfaces for autonomous construction machinery. You'll architect complex, real-time UIs that handle multi-modal datasets and enable operators to control heavy equipment with ultra-low latency, working alongside robotics and autonomy engineers in a fast-growing startup backed by $350M in funding.
What you'll do
- Establish core UI interactions, architecture, and workflows for operators and field teams
- Architect interfaces visualizing multi-modal datasets (telemetry, video, 3D scenes, maps) in real time
- Optimize frontend performance across browser and native environments for seamless user experience
- Design and implement foundational systems including state management, components, and data flows
- Partner with robotics and backend engineers to translate machine data into intuitive workflows
What they're looking for
- TypeScript and modern component frameworks
- Browser mechanics, memory management, and rendering performance
- Real-time data streaming (WebSockets, WebRTC)
- Complex state management and asynchronous data flows
- 3D visualization and WebGL/WebGPU
- Geospatial systems and large-scale mapping data
- Native desktop/mobile wrappers (Electron, Tauri, React Native)
- Product and systems architecture design
Benefits
- Work on cutting-edge autonomy technology in real-world applications
- Get hands-on experience operating heavy machinery like excavators
- Join a team of industry veterans from Waymo, Segment, and Uber Freight
- Foundational role with significant ownership of the product stack
- Fast-paced startup environment with $350M in backing
