Software Engineering Intern
About this role
Beacon Software is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for Fall 2026 to contribute production code to their internal platform that powers portfolio operations. You'll work directly with senior engineers building data integrations, LLM-powered tools, and internal systems that the operating team relies on daily.
What you'll do
- Ship end-to-end production code features from design through deployment
- Build integrations between portfolio company systems (QuickBooks, HubSpot, Salesforce, Stripe, Postgres) and the central data platform
- Prototype and deploy LLM-powered internal tools for portfolio management
- Collaborate with senior engineers and CTO on code review and system design
- Partner with operations team to understand problems before implementing solutions
What they're looking for
- Production-quality coding in TypeScript, Python, or Go
- Ability to read and work in existing codebases
- Strong written communication and documentation
- Curiosity about data systems and APIs
- Understanding of LLM-driven applications (preferred)
- Experience with modern data tools like dbt or Snowflake (preferred)
- Problem-solving with operator mindset
- Quick language acquisition ability
