About this role
Join Basic Capital's founding Data & Reporting team to build the data infrastructure and analytics systems for a fintech startup transforming retirement products. You'll design data pipelines, develop compliance reporting automation, and create customer-facing analytics while working in their SoHo NYC office.
What you'll do
- Design and build data pipelines transforming operational data into business intelligence
- Automate critical compliance reporting, regulatory submissions, and customer communications
- Develop customer-facing reporting systems including statements and performance analytics
- Build and maintain data warehouse infrastructure with focus on quality and accessibility
- Participate in architecture discussions, planning, and code reviews
- Be founding member of Data & Reporting team establishing initial capabilities

- Data pipeline development and ETL/ELT workflows
- SQL and data modeling for analytics
- Modern data warehouse platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
- Data transformation tools (dbt)
- Data visualization and dashboard tools (Looker, Tableau, Hex, Metabase)
- Programming languages (Python, TypeScript, Kotlin, Java, Go, Rust, or C/C++)
- Cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Financial data and compliance knowledge
