Web Design Engineer
About this role
Base, a distributed battery power company, is seeking a Web Design Engineer to own their public website end-to-end—from code and design to copy and performance metrics. You'll work at the intersection of design and engineering, building high-converting web experiences using modern tools while collaborating closely with Growth, Design, and Marketing teams.
What you'll do
- Own basepowercompany.com architecture, design, copy, and performance end-to-end
- Build and ship pages using Next.js, React, and Tailwind for campaigns and product launches
- Design and execute A/B and multivariate experiments to improve conversion and engagement
- Optimize technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, page speed, and site crawlability
- Build and maintain component libraries for consistency and faster development
- Develop AI-powered web features and design workflows that enhance team efficiency
