About this role

Base seeks a Validation Engineer to establish and lead the validation function for distributed battery and power systems. You'll design testing protocols, build automation infrastructure, and ensure products meet reliability standards while scaling across a growing fleet.

What you'll do

  • Define and implement Base's validation strategy and framework for power systems, inverters, and batteries
  • Develop and oversee validation protocols using thermal chambers, high-power supplies, and advanced test equipment
  • Design and manage validation automation software and testing infrastructure
  • Maintain requirements and test management systems with version control and consistency across teams
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve validation findings and influence design decisions
  • Produce detailed validation reports supporting compliance, certification, and executive decisions
