About this role
Base is seeking a Market Operations Engineer to optimize their distributed battery fleet's performance across wholesale energy markets like ERCOT. You'll bridge energy markets and real-time operations by monitoring ISO protocols, analyzing asset deployment value, and collaborating with operations teams to maximize revenue from battery assets.
What you'll do
- Monitor ISO protocols, regulatory updates, and market rule changes through stakeholder engagement
- Conduct valuation and technical analysis on battery asset deployment for business development
- Develop white papers and strategic recommendations to support market initiatives
- Collaborate with real-time operations teams to optimize battery fleet revenue
- Perform data analysis and create visualizations to inform decision-making
- Contribute to external communications and technical product engineering efforts
