Deployment Engineer (Logistics & Distribution)
About this role
Base is seeking a Deployment Engineer to design and document scalable warehouse and logistics processes as the company rapidly expands its distributed battery deployment operations. You'll create standardized playbooks and workflows that enable the team to replicate successful operations across new markets and products, while partnering with manufacturing and software teams to continuously improve efficiency.
What you'll do
- Create and maintain comprehensive playbooks with detailed processes, SOPs, and timelines for repeatable warehouse setups
- Document current workflows, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and implement systemic improvements
- Lead process engineering efforts to support new products and operational pivots
- Conduct root cause analysis on operational issues and design fixes to reduce errors and costs
- Partner with software teams to translate process requirements into digital tools and automations
- Serve as liaison between manufacturing and deployment teams to ensure smooth handoffs
