About this role
Aypa Power seeks a Transmission Planning Engineer to conduct powerflow modeling and transmission system analysis for utility-scale energy storage and renewable projects across North America. You'll support project development and acquisition strategies by analyzing interconnection feasibility, creating technical reports, and presenting findings to cross-functional teams.
What you'll do
- Perform powerflow analysis and transmission system modeling for battery energy storage, renewable, and hybrid projects
- Assess technical and commercial feasibility of greenfield and acquisition opportunities
- Develop planning-level cost estimates for interconnection facilities
- Provide transmission analytical support to guide project development strategies
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and summaries of analysis conclusions
- Communicate recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
