AXS is hiring a Software Engineer in Charlotte, NC to build scalable backend systems and APIs that integrate AI and machine learning capabilities into production applications. You'll work on data pipelines, LLM workflows, and RAG systems while collaborating with product and design teams to ship AI-powered features.

What you'll do

  • Design and maintain scalable backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines
  • Integrate AI/ML capabilities including LLMs, embeddings, and classification into applications
  • Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and context-aware systems
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party AI tools and services
  • Optimize system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered features
