About this role
Axon seeks an experienced Hardware Validation Engineer II to develop test procedures, execute comprehensive validation testing across firmware, mechanical, environmental, and electrical domains, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet the highest quality standards before customer release.
What you'll do
- Develop comprehensive test plans and Validation Test Procedures (VTPs) with emphasis on repeatability and standardization
- Lead and oversee execution of firmware/software, mechanical, environmental, and electrical validation tests
- Conduct failure analysis and root cause analysis on issues found during testing
- Document, track, and report test status and results following Good Documentation Practices
- Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and external labs to coordinate testing efforts
- Participate in occasional field testing and develop customer usage models for products
