About this role

Astro Mechanica seeks a Propulsion Design Engineer to develop and validate critical propulsion systems for their Duality™ dual-use engine, from concept through flight qualification. You'll own hardware design end-to-end, conducting analyses, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

What you'll do

  • Design and analyze propulsion systems with structural, thermal, and fluid analysis support
  • Conduct design trade studies while evaluating system-level impacts
  • Build prototypes, design tooling, and establish manufacturing work instructions
  • Lead design reviews and gather stakeholder feedback
  • Execute hardware testing, collect data, and verify performance against requirements
  • Diagnose failures and implement corrective actions
