Join Astranis' Platform team as a Backend Software Engineer Intern to develop mission-critical services that control satellites, monitor telemetry, and provide real-time fleet awareness. This 12-week hourly internship involves designing high-performance backend systems supporting both commercial and U.S. government satellite operations.

What you'll do

  • Design and build reliable, high-performance software for satellite command and control
  • Own features end-to-end across backend and infrastructure components
  • Monitor satellite telemetry systems for anomalies and maintain fleet safety
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on software architecture and requirements
  • Develop core platform services that support other engineering teams
  • Build real-time situational awareness systems for satellite operations
