About this role
Astranis seeks a Radiation Test Engineer to validate and test spacecraft electronics for high-orbit satellite operations. You'll design fault-tolerant systems, run radiation testing campaigns, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure component reliability in harsh space environments.
What you'll do
- Analyze and validate candidate electronics for radiation environments specific to aerospace applications
- Design fault-tolerant electrical systems for spacecraft operating in radiation zones
- Simulate and model GTO and GEO radiation environments on circuit board designs
- Coordinate and execute radiation testing campaigns for component upscreening
- Support electrical design, bringup, and test activities across the team
- Assist with recruiting and hiring for the growing engineering team
