About this role

Astera Labs seeks a Quality Engineer to perform failure analysis and root-cause investigation on high-speed semiconductor connectivity devices for AI infrastructure. You'll use advanced lab instrumentation to debug PCIe and Ethernet solutions, build analytical infrastructure, and collaborate across teams to ensure product reliability.

What you'll do

  • Conduct root-cause analysis of failures across circuit, package, firmware, and protocol layers
  • Develop databases and infrastructure to optimize failure analysis processes
  • Perform high-speed SERDES and Ethernet device measurements using oscilloscopes, BERT, protocol analyzers, and related equipment
  • Document quality engineering processes and methodologies for scalability
  • Collaborate with design, validation, hardware, and systems teams on reliability improvements
  • Support new product development with enhanced failure analysis capabilities
