About this role
Archer is seeking an experienced electrical design engineer to lead flight test instrumentation design for their all-electric eVTOL aircraft. You'll oversee electrical installations, coordinate with manufacturing and test teams, and ensure comprehensive sensor monitoring systems for aircraft certification and development.
What you'll do
- Design electrical installations for flight test instrumentation hardware on test aircraft
- Plan and coordinate instrumentation installation during aircraft buildup and testing phases
- Develop processes and documentation for flight test instrumentation maintenance and installation
- Collaborate with flight test, certification, and engineering teams on comprehensive monitoring plans
- Design specialized hardware including instrumentation racks, air data booms, and telemetry systems
- Support technicians and operations teams in implementing instrumentation designs
