Mechanical Engineer
About this role
Arc is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and integrate complex electromechanical systems for electric marine vessels, from concept through production. You'll own the full lifecycle of these systems, working across mechanical, electrical, and thermal domains while collaborating with suppliers, shipyards, and field teams.
What you'll do
- Design and integrate electromechanical systems across the complete vehicle lifecycle from concept to production
- Perform requirements definition, CAD design, FEA analysis, prototyping, and validation testing
- Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, thermal, and manufacturing disciplines to ensure system integration
- Support sea trials and in-field validation to verify performance and troubleshoot real-world issues
- Work with suppliers, shipyards, and manufacturing teams to drive execution and manufacturability
- Travel approximately 15% to support testing, validation, and field operations
