About this role
Aquatic, a quantitative investment firm, seeks early-career software engineers for their Chicago or New York offices. You'll rotate through 2-3 technology teams, working closely with senior mentors to build systems that directly impact the firm's profitability using Python or C++.
What you'll do
- Develop software solutions in Python or C++ under senior engineer mentorship
- Rotate through 2-3 different technology teams over the program
- Apply software design and testing techniques including refactoring and test-driven development
- Build systems critical to the firm's financial operations
- Contribute to event-driven and distributed system architectures
