About this role
Apex Companies seeks a detail-oriented Drinking Water Treatment Process Engineer to support water supply and treatment projects across the Northeast from a remote location. You'll design and engineer groundwater and surface water treatment plants, pump stations, and facility upgrades while contributing to all project phases from planning through startup and optimization.
What you'll do
- Prepare technical memoranda, reports, calculations, designs, drawings, and specifications for water treatment projects
- Develop permit applications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates
- Monitor project schedules and budgets while tracking progress and identifying scope changes
- Collaborate with subconsultants and senior project staff on assigned tasks
- Serve as lead designer on less complex projects or discrete components of larger initiatives
- Participate in facility startups, optimization, and client communication
