About this role
Apex Companies seeks a Florida-licensed Traffic Engineer to join their growing consulting firm. You'll manage FDOT permitting, develop traffic impact studies, perform signal design, and conduct traffic modeling for transportation projects across Florida.
What you'll do
- Prepare and manage FDOT Driveway Connection Permit applications and technical documentation
- Develop Traffic Impact Statements for Florida cities and counties
- Conduct traffic modeling and operational analysis using Synchro/SimTraffic
- Design traffic signals including timing sheets and coordination plans
- Prepare technical reports and supporting calculations
- Coordinate with clients, project managers, and permitting agencies
