About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Tracking Software Engineer to develop advanced 2D/3D tracking algorithms for space situational awareness missions. You'll design multi-target tracking systems using state estimation and data association techniques, build physics-based models, and transition prototypes into operational systems for space domain awareness and control.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement multi-target tracking and state estimation algorithms including Kalman filtering and advanced data association methods
  • Develop and evaluate multi-sensor fusion approaches for EO/IR and RF sensor architectures
  • Build physics-based models and conduct Monte Carlo analysis, sensor playback, and hardware-in-the-loop testing
  • Perform systems engineering including requirements decomposition, trade studies, and verification planning
  • Collaborate with software engineers to transition MATLAB/Python prototypes to production C/C++ code
  • Prepare technical documentation and conduct design reviews for customer and internal stakeholders
