About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Thermal Engineer to design and manage thermal systems for advanced space hardware platforms supporting U.S. military space domain awareness and control. You'll own thermal architecture, analysis, testing, and vendor management while collaborating with internal teams and customers to deliver cutting-edge space capabilities.
What you'll do
- Lead thermal design, analysis, testing, and vendor management for space hardware development programs
- Develop thermal architecture to withstand space environments and define edge case scenarios
- Execute first-principles calculations, spreadsheet models, and MATLAB/Python simulations to validate designs
- Plan, prepare, and conduct thermal tests on hardware assemblies to reduce technical risk
- Present thermal status and technical findings at formal reviews with stakeholders
- Support root-cause analysis and failure investigations using test data and thermal models
