About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Systems Safety Engineer to lead safety-critical decisions across defense technology products including autonomous systems, maritime, and aerospace platforms. You'll execute comprehensive safety analyses, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with military standards throughout the product development lifecycle.

What you'll do

  • Execute System Safety program plans aligned with MIL-STD-882E and defense industry requirements
  • Conduct advanced safety analyses including FHA, Fault Tree Analysis, FMECA, and System Safety Assessments
  • Develop safety requirements and collaborate with design teams to implement solutions
  • Identify, document, and track hazards while managing risk mitigation strategies
  • Lead failure investigations and corrective actions from mishap reports and RCCA
  • Support design reviews (PDR, CDR, QDR) and represent safety interests to stakeholders
