About this role
Anduril Industries seeks an experienced Systems Engineer to lead the design, integration, and testing of advanced tactical UAV systems. You'll oversee the full lifecycle of small drone products, from conceptual design through operational deployment, working across multidisciplinary teams to solve complex defense technology challenges.
What you'll do
- Design and architect UAV system upgrades, including sizing, performance analysis, and initial prototyping
- Develop interface controls and integration plans for hardware, software, and electrical payload compatibility
- Manage tactical engineering efforts and coordinate between multiple engineering and test disciplines
- Create and execute test plans for critical subsystems and vehicle-level acceptance testing
- Conduct hands-on UAV build, benchtop testing, and field testing with occasional travel
- Analyze vehicle performance data to identify trends and develop predictive failure models
