About this role
Anduril Industries seeks an experienced Structures Engineer to design and analyze advanced structural components for hypersonic air vehicles and missile platforms. You'll lead the full development lifecycle from concept through prototype manufacturing, applying first-principles engineering and advanced simulation tools to create high-performance, cost-effective solutions for defense applications.
What you'll do
- Design and analyze primary and secondary aircraft structures (metallic and composite) from preliminary through detailed design
- Perform complex finite element analysis including strength, buckling, damage tolerance, and delamination simulations
- Conduct trade studies optimizing for weight, performance, manufacturability, cost, and schedule
- Apply design-for-manufacturing principles to enable cost-effective production at scale
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams including aerodynamics, systems integration, and manufacturing
- Provide onsite engineering support at manufacturing and integration facilities
