About this role

Anduril Industries seeks a Robotics Software Engineer to design and own verification & validation infrastructure for the Omen autonomous platform. You'll build automated testing environments (SITL/HITL) that validate mission software, autonomy behavior, and hardware integration before field deployment, with opportunities to grow into mission software development.

What you'll do

  • Architect and maintain automated test infrastructure for mission software across unit, integration, and system levels
  • Design Software-in-the-Loop and Hardware-in-the-Loop test environments for autonomy and full-system validation
  • Write tests for hardware interfaces including UART, CANbus, and serial protocols used in embedded systems
  • Develop tooling to evaluate autonomy tasking, decision-making, and mission outcomes against operational scenarios
  • Collaborate with mission software, autonomy, hardware, and platform teams to detect defects early
  • Travel up to 25% for operational testing, debugging, and field validation

What they're looking for

  • C++ (2+ years production experience)
  • Automated testing and test infrastructure design
  • Software-in-the-Loop (SITL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL) environments
  • Hardware interface protocols (UART, CANbus, serial)
  • Integration and system-level testing
  • Embedded systems knowledge
  • Python and/or Go
  • Verification and validation practices
