About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Mission Engineer to conduct rigorous, data-driven analyses supporting defense technology development and military capabilities. You'll design simulations and model-based studies to evaluate Anduril's autonomous systems, translating complex technical findings into clear insights for internal teams and external customers.
What you'll do
- Develop physics-based analytical models and simulations using AFSIM and other tools to evaluate air dominance systems
- Conduct operations analysis studies from problem definition through report generation and presentation
- Translate stakeholder questions into structured experiments with clear, actionable conclusions
- Communicate complex technical analyses to diverse audiences through written, visual, and verbal formats
- Analyze platform and payload modeling (aerodynamics, fuel, radar, EW, communications, weapons)
- Support demonstration events by quantifying mission success metrics for warfighter applications
What they're looking for
- AFSIM scripting (2+ years hands-on experience)
- Python or MATLAB/Simulink modeling and scripting
- Modeling & Simulation Analysis (MS&A) for aerospace platforms and payloads
- RF, Electronic Warfare (EW), and Electronic Attack (EA) concepts
- Operations analysis and scientific methodology
- Signal processing, track fusion, and RF propagation modeling
- Technical writing and presentation skills
- Air dominance, ISR, SEAD/DEAD, or Long Range Fires domain knowledge
