About this role
Anduril Industries seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to design and analyze solid rocket motor components including cases, nozzles, and igniters. You'll conduct stress and thermal analysis, create detailed engineering drawings, and support prototyping and testing for next-generation tactical rocket systems.
What you'll do
- Perform CAD design of rocket motor mechanical components
- Conduct finite element analysis on structural and thermal systems
- Generate and release engineering drawings and product definitions
- Create technical reports and present findings to peers and customers
- Support prototyping, manufacturing, and test operations at facilities
- Own development of critical subsystems from concept through completion

- Mechanical design and analysis (5+ years)
- CAD software operation (NX preferred)
- Finite element analysis (Abaqus preferred)
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Hardware manufacturability knowledge
- Technical communication and presentation
- MATLAB or Python programming
- Propulsion systems experience
