About this role
Anduril Industries seeks a Manufacturing Test Engineer to develop and implement automated test procedures for autonomous underwater vehicles at their Quonset, RI facility. You'll collaborate with engineering and technician teams to build comprehensive testing capabilities, ensure product reliability, and scale production operations for next-generation subsea robotics.
What you'll do
- Design and execute automated test procedures for component and system-level validation
- Develop and manage test ecosystems to de-risk hardware and verify design specifications
- Conduct root cause analysis on electromechanical subsystems using structured problem-solving
- Build semi-automated testing equipment and environmental testing protocols
- Generate controlled test processes and documentation for technician execution
- Collaborate with design teams on risk assessments and production deployment activities

- Hardware testing and automated test systems design
- Programming languages (Python, Matlab, SHELL, or similar)
- Computer communication protocols (USB, Ethernet, RS232, RS485, CAN, etc.)
- Electromechanical systems design and troubleshooting
- Test plan development and execution
- Sensor, actuator, and electrical component programming
- Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Test Execution Systems (TES)
- High-voltage systems operation (preferably up to 400V)
